During my mid-semester break I had the opportunity to represent the University of New South Wales in the Australian University Rowing Championship held in Adelaide, South Australia. Adelaide is known as the City of Churches. It is a very fine city with an artistic feel in terms of architecture and the organization of the city. During the competitions, I had the chance to meet many rowers from across Australia. Some of them just so happen to represent Australia on a National Level. The atmosphere was very relaxed but you could feel the competitiveness amongst the crews. I also had the opportunity to be interviewed by Australia Uni Sport which is the governing body for university sport in Australia. Being able to travel and do what I love most is the best feeling in the world! We placed 6th in the country and it feels good to know I was an asset to a rising team here in Sydney.
