Sitges Carnival is just around the corner! 

From today, February 23rd, and until March 1st: Sitges will be holding a large number of fun and colorful events to celebrate its famous Carnival once again. The duration of the Carnival in Sitges is one of the reasons why this celebration has become so famous in this town. In fact, some of the events have already taken place since February 10th. If you happen to be around Barcelona and you're looking for a getaway to a fanciful world, Sitges Carnival is waiting for you!    

Ah, Sitges... That beautiful beach town we love and that place we love to take our students to! We are already looking forward to our Sitges Daytrip with our Spring students. But for now, let's talk about what's going on in Sitges during its long Carnival!

Well, among many other things, there will be sensational parades, a lot of people in amazing costumes, the awaited arrivals of the Carnival Queen and His Majesty Carnestoltes (who will be much probably wearing astonishing dresses) followed by their courts and parading along the streets, live music, fancy balls, galas (such as the Grand Venetian Gala where the dress code is a vintage/gala costume and a mask), lots of dances, and even a bed race! There are so many events that one goes through a difficult time when it comes to choosing one.
