Our students have come, seen, and already conquered Barcelona!
The week of orientation ended with a great tour of Barcelona´s most attractive sights: we started at the Passeig de Gràcia, Barcelona´s equivalent to NYC´s Fifth Avenue or Chicago´s Magnificent Mile. There, we went on to see two of Gaudí´s masterpieces: Casa Batlló and La Pedrera. Next, we explored Sagrada Família (which is nearing its date of completion!). We finished our tour with the visit of the Olympic stadium of Montjuic, built in 1929. This is the stadium that hosted the inauguration of 1992. It was a good moment to remind students how the torch was lit by Paralympic archer Antonio Rebollo:
Our students are taking this week intensive Catalan with our Associate Director, Ms. Sílvia Serra and already getting acquainted with Catalan culture. Off to a great semester!
