CHRISTMAS

 Christmas day  is one of the most important days for catalan families on christmas festivities.

Everybody wake up with a good attitude, dressing up nicely and get ready with all the stuff need for that day.

Families use to meet in a house and is common split the obligations, it means each person is encharged to prepare or to bring a part of the meal, or drinks, or sometimes some chairs because the number of people that gather during these days is more than usual.

Tables are well dress up with the best table cloth and few christmas decorations.

The Christmas menú  is a “galets” soup (Soup Pasta) for the first course, and for the second one  roasted chicken with plums and pine nuts.

The star dessert is nougat (turrón) but we also have other typical Christmas sweets like marzipan, and polvorones, a dessert made by almond chopped, sugar, flour, flavored with cinnamon and lemon.

The Christmas tree is somewhere in the living room full of colours and lights and at the same time music is singing some tones following the rhythm of the Cristmas tree lights meanwhile the flovours of the meals smell from the kitchen, this picture cacth as a perfect atmosphere for The Christmas Day.
