Each term we invite selected speakers to discuss facets of Scottish culture, history and tradition and it is with great pleasure that we are going to kick off our 2014 lecture series with award-winning author, Bella Bathurst.

Bella was the winner of the 1999 Summerset Maugham Award and has been shortlisted for numerous awards, including the Orange Prize, the Guardian First Book Award, the William Hill Sports Book of the Year and the CWA Gold Dagger Award for non-Fiction, among numerous other accolades.
For our talk, Bella will speak about her book, The Lighthouse Stevensons, which is also the book club selection for this term.

The event will take place in the Edinburgh Center on Friday 3 October at 5:15pm.
