The Teatro dell'Opera's ballet pays homage to great choreographer Roland Petit, with an outstanding performance of two masterpieces: The Sick Rose, to the poignant music by Gustav Mahler and costumes by Yves Saint-Laurent; and the Pink Floyd Ballet, that first premiered in 1972, when Roland Petit produced the ballet to the inspiring music of the legendary British rock band, Pink Floyd.
The show will be performed in the monumental ruins "Terme di Caracalla", a unique and extraordinary frame for the summer season of Rome's renowned Teatro dell’Opera.
Italian wine expert and owner of “Enoteca Ginsanti”, Federica Ginsanti, will hold a masterclass on Italian wines for Arcadia Students. You will have the opportunity to taste a variety of wines coming from different regions and learn how to evaluate them on the basis of the aroma and the flavor. They'll also show us how to pair food and wine. Thanks to this interactive tasting class, you will have the knowledge to bravely venture into the large world of Italian wines, savoring them rather than just consuming blindly.
You don’t have to be a professional soccer player to participate in the game! You’ll only need your energy and enthusiasm. This is an excellent way to get to know each other, exercise and have fun… Come one, come all!
Let’s explore “Ancient Rome” through a recent discovery, an excavation of archaeological remains of ancient Roman houses.
Descending below Palazzo Valentini, which has been the seat of the Province of Rome since 1873, is like walking into another world. Not only are the villas luxurious and well preserved, still retaining their beautiful mosaics, inlaid marble floors, and staircases, but—unlike any other site in Rome—the ruins have been made to "come alive" through multimedia. Sophisticated light shows re-create what it all would have looked like while a dramatic, automated voice over accompanies you as you walk through the rooms. You will be fascinated by the results of the restoration!
