Dr. Paola Cascinelli is serving as Resident Director Arcadia Italy Programs with The College of Global Studies, Arcadia University.
In addition to her teaching Management and International Business for Arcadia in Rome, Paola supervises the academic curriculum, internship and the custom-program design, encouraging at every turn experiential learning and engagement with the Italian environment. Indeed, through years of professional and academic commitment, Paola brings with her a vast theoretical and practical knowledge of Italy’s potentialities and socio-economic complexity. She worked as a consultant for the Ministry of Economy of the Lazio region, the Small and Medium Enterprises National Confederation (CNA), the European Parliament in Brussels and others, participating and coordinating development projects for companies and public administrations.
In addition, Paola holds a Ph.D. in Socio-Economic and Statistical Studies, La Sapienza University of Rome, with a thesis on the interaction between social representations and business practices and a focus on the Mediterranean area. Having been an exchange student and researcher at European and US Universities (Boston University, Universite' Libre de Brussels, Lehigh University and Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona) and having thought to other international business schools in Rome, Paola developed a deep understanding of transnational education and knowledge-intensive organizations.
In each of her professional steps she has had a strong interest in research, contributing to publications and participating in national and international conferences with case studies taken from her work. Her last research is focused on international networks in higher education.
