Arcadia Ireland

All of the NUIG and UCC students have arrived! We have just completed our biggest orientation group of the semester and the students are on the way to Galway and Cork to get settled into their accommodation. This orientation session was jam packed with activities from student-staff breakfasts to meetings to GAA to an evening of Irish fairies, music and folklore in Dublin's oldest pub. On the student's first day in Ireland they were brought on a historical walking tour of Dublin followed by some free time for them to explore. Great fun was had at the GAA where the students were introduced to Ireland's national sports hurling, gaelic football and handball. They then enjoyed a delicious traditional meal accompanied by Irish music and storytelling. 
We look forward to seeing all these students again on the Belfast weekend trip!
