A welcome from your Regional Director

This, my first blog entry since (re)joining Arcadia as Resident Director in the London Center at the start of March after a brief hiatus, is a simple hello and warm welcome to all the students joining us for our summer sessions.

Whether you are new to London and the UK or have visited before I can assure you of a summer of exciting educational and cultural opportunities during your time with us.

Since I came on board I have been delighted and impressed by the dedication, knowledge and skills of all the people who will be teaching and supporting you during your time with us – and I’m sure you will be too The staff at our London Center have been working hard to prepare all the elements that make up an engaging summer experience – finding internship placements, preparing the academic program and setting up a wide range of exciting social and cultural events to help you fully engage with this wonderful city and all it has to offer I’m certain you will find our Center based faculty engaging and inspirational – we have a great team here who know how to fully employ “London as classroom”.

We hope that after our intensive orientation program you will feel at home and ready to launch yourself into your experience but if you have any questions (there are no stupid ones – not for the first couple of weeks anyway!) just ask any of us – we are a much more friendly bunch than some of the stereotypes of Englishness might suggest!
