On Saturday 12 July, on a glorious summer day in London, we met at the Victoria statue, opposite the famous gates to Buckingham Palace for our visit to the Royal Mews and Gallery of the Queen's official London residence, Buckingham Palace.
The streets were packed as our visit coincided with the pomp and ceremony of Changing of the Guard. Once inside we visited the Royal Mews which houses the Queen's transport, including horses and carriages used on state occasions.
The visit was a fascinating glimpse into a working modern palace, and the great news is our tickets give us re-admission for up to a year!
