Explore New and Old Traditions in Japan's Cultural Capital

Temple University’s Japan Campus offers you the opportunity to study abroad in Tokyo during the semester or the full academic year. As a participant in the fall or spring, you will study alongside degree-seeking Japanese students, who comprise around 35 percent of undergraduates, as well as international students from about 60 countries all around the world. With such a diverse student body, you can expect a dynamic exchange of ideas and perspectives on current global issues, international relations, and aspects of traditional and popular culture. Outside of the classroom, you will continue this exchange by participating in the many social activities organized each semester. You can take advantage of the full schedule of outings, events and workshops that expose you to new locations and various aspects of life in Tokyo and throughout Japan.

  • Courses are taught by faculty from Japan, the U.S., and other countries around the world.

  • Credit-bearing and non-credit internships are available.
  • Optional field trips and excursions showcasing the wide variety of cultural offerings in Tokyo and Japan.
