Kahlil Mitchell - Smith is a student currently studying at Environmental Studies and Philosophy at Ohio Wesleyan University. He recently participated in the Arcadia Abroad University of Otago program where he took courses in science communication, invasive species ecology, 18th century philosophy, and māori studies. He is passionate about studying metaphysical philosophy and the nature of the mind and wished to use his environmental studies knowledge to foster an appreciation for the natural world and especially the various arthropods that inhabit it. In New Zealand he has balanced academic work with a co-curricular certificate project and extensive independent travel by both himself and with flatmates.
