I graduated from Arcadia in May 2024 with a BA in Global Media Studies with a concentration in Sound & Music. My major required me to go abroad for a full academic year. This lead me to Sydney, Australia in 2023. I chose to study at the University of Technology Sydney because they offered a program which allowed me to take on an internship alongside my classes. The internship I got, saw me as a crew member in the events production industry. I was getting hands-on, professional experience setting up and taking down large and small scale events across the city. This experience gave me the confidence to take on another internship during my last semester at Arcadia. This work was with retired Arcadia professor, Alan Powell and a group of his called Termite TV Collective. In their studio at the Cherry Street Arts Pier, I assisted in setting up art installations, performances and acted as an instructor for their audio and video workstation.
