Ashley Brookes joined The College of Global Studies in September 2022 and serves as the Assistant Director for Advising & Student Engagement. In this role, Ashley manages the pre-departure orientation process and provides support to program advisors across various portfolios, working particularly closely with the Southern Hemisphere programs, STEM summer research programs, and programs associated with Arcadia’s partnership with Augsburg University. In her work, Ashley is dedicated to working closely with students and families to provide support and guidance to cultivate a transformative study abroad experience for every student.
Ashley holds a M.A. in International Higher Education from Boston College, and a B.A. in Globalization Studies from Gettysburg College. During her undergraduate career, Ashley studied abroad in Uganda and in Rwanda. Since then, Ashley has had the privilege of travelling to communities across Africa, Oceania (New Zealand), South America, Europe, and North America. She has worked in international education for over 10 years and has experience at both provider organizations and institutions across the East Coast.
When not working, Ashley enjoys travelling, reading, cooking and baking, and spending time with friends, family, and her three cats, Fitzwallace, Gloria, and Mittens.
