You are given the freedom to experience and explore Dublin while residing in Arcadia-provided flats just south of the Dublin city center, concentrated in the Dublin 2, Dublin 4, and Dublin 6 areas. The flats are conveniently located; you will generally walk to your classes, about 25 – 40 minutes, but you can also take advantage of public bus routes. Most flats house three to four students, with a shared bathroom, kitchen and living area. You should anticipate having to share a room; but while a single flat may be co-ed, any individual roommate will be of the same gender.

The flats are self-catered so you will be preparing your own meals and shopping at a nearby grocery store. Each flat is equipped with a clothes washer and telephone to be used with a calling card. None of the apartments have clothes dryers. As energy costs are so high in Ireland, most people dry their clothes on a clothes horse (rack). These are provided in each of the apartments. Arcadia housing also has a Student Life and Residence Assistant. This person is dedicated to assisting students with their housing as well as helping them feel connected to their local Dublin community. Wireless internet access is also provided. Arcadia apartments are available only to students studying abroad with Arcadia in Dublin.
