On this program, you will live in LSE university housing. You’ll settle in and learn to live as a true Londoner. Regardless of which of LSE’s residence halls you are assigned, you should expect a 15-45 minute commute to classes, which is very standard for living in a large city such as London.
When choosing your housing, it may be useful to refer to the map of LSE’s campus and residences—still, it’s best to be flexible and open-minded regarding where you will live!
Supplemental housing fees may apply if you are placed in a single room in any residence.
High Holborn is located in the Theatre District, near Oxford Street and Leicester Square; it’s a brisk 10-minute walk to LSE—and only a five-minute walk to the Arcadia London Center. You’ll live in single or shared rooms in apartments, or flats, with 4-5 bedrooms and shared bathroom and kitchen facilities. Breakfast is served in High Holborn from 7:30 am - 10 am on weekdays, and from 8 am - 10 am on weekends.
Northumberland House is located in a grand Victorian building in the heart of London, near Trafalgar Square, St. James’s Park, and the National Gallery—and it’s only a 10-minute walk from LSE. You’ll live in single or shared bedrooms with private bathrooms in self-catered apartments, or flats, each with a shared kitchen. Breakfast is included for Northumberland residents on LSE’s campus weekdays from 8 am - 10:30 am.
Rosebery Hall, located in trendy Clerkenwell—near Exmouth Market and the Sadler’s Wells Theatre—is a 25-minute walk from LSE. You’ll live in single or shared rooms with shared bathrooms and limited kitchen facilities. Breakfast is served in Roseberry from 7:30 am - 10 am on weekdays, and 8 am - 10 am on weekends.
