Mònica Subirana

Mònica Subirana was born, grew up and studied in Barcelona. She graduated in Hispanic Philology at the University of Barcelona and specialized in teaching Spanish as a second language. After some years working as a Spanish teacher in Barcelona, she moved to the United States and then to Singapore, where she taught several courses for official exams, as well as courses on culture and traditions. When she returned to Barcelona she began to collaborate with the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and with Arcadia University, to teach Spanish and culture to foreign students.

About her job: "After all these years as a teacher, what I like most about my job is to learn from my students. I enjoy my work a lot, but I enjoy it much more when I share their experiences, their discoveries. It is the best thing about my work.”
