Michele La Rocca received a master degree in Mechanical Engineering and a PhD in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics at La Sapienza University of Rome. He is a full Professor of Hydraulics and Fluid Mechanics at the Engineering Department of the Roma Tre University, where he teaches Fundamentals of Fluid Mechanics, Advanced Fluid Mechanics and Dynamics of Contaminants in Water Bodies. He has been a visiting professor at the Politechnical University of Catalunya, at the Berlin Technical University and at the Anna University in Chennai. His main research interest is focused on the formulation and implementation of numerical methods in the framework of the Boltzmann’s Kinetic Theory.
