Ib Schumacher, Ph.D

Ib Schumacher was born and raised in West-Germany. He studied History, Political Science and Journalism at the Freie Universität Berlin and the FernUniversität Hagen (Germany). He earned his Ph.D. in History from the Humboldt Universität Berlin with the dissertation “Ideas, perceptions and thought patterns of Philip IV of Spain in the context of the Spanish Empire’s foreign policies, 1643-1665”. He teaches courses related to History, Political Science, Journalism and Criminological Terminology. His research interests include Early Modern and Modern History of Europe and the USA, Political Systems of Europe and the USA, International Relations and Media in Europe and the USA.
