Within the small fishing village of Footdee is the Fittie Mission.
All the pathways within the village seem to lead to this building. Just as the rest of the village, the Mission is not overwhelming in size. It does not dwarf the surrounding homes of the residents, nor is it extravagant as many churches with Aberdeen City can be, with their ornate details and massive stained glass windows (which are stunning, nonetheless). Instead, the Fittie Mission feels as though it belongs. It is a part of this village. It blends in with its similar façade and simplistic design, and the scale of it makes it noticeable enough that one knows it is not just a home, but something of importance.
