Visit England Virtually!

May 29, 2020

London, a city usually busy and buzzing even on the days with heavy downpour or freezing temps, has come to a standstill. The Coronavirus pandemic has put the world on pause and has left a lot of us feeling trapped in our homes and towns. But just because you can’t travel physically, thanks to the internet, travelling mentally might be just the kind of distraction you need in the current times.

Here in England there’s a lot of ways you can experience our culture virtually! We've compiled a list of some of our favourite virtual tours and experiences.

Iconic Places:

Buckingham Palace

Houses of Parliament

Hampton Court Palace

London Landmarks

Virginia Woolf’s London

Harry Potter UK tour

British Museum

Churchill War Rooms

Tate Modern Exhibition - Andy Warhol

National History Museum - Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2019 Photos

Shakespeare's Globe Theatre

National Theatre

Digital Theatre

Virtual events:

For our virtual Europe students we’re offering two events a week for you to engage with English, Scottish, Irish, Italian, Spanish, and Greek cultures. All details on the events are shared on the Virtual Europe Facebook group

The London Centre is also hosting a weekly Coffee Morning where you can connect with other students, in addition to events for all Virtual Europe Students.

Whether you’re a Virtual Europe student, a past student, or a future student we hope this list can quench your cultural thirst until it's safe to travel again!
