Are you looking for experience at an education institution?

Join the talented academic staff at the arcadia center in Athens and experience the exciting fast paced environment of our study abroad program.

The Athens Center of Arcadia University’s The College of Global Studies is looking for an intern for fall 2018. Located in Plateia Varnava (Barnabas Square) in the neighborhood of Pagrati in central Athens, Arcadia’s Athens program is an academic institution with a strong focus on experiential education. The students take classes in English in our Center, including the possibility of independent student research. We also run an internship program. Staff, faculty and students all work closely with our community partners both in our local neighborhood, and more widely in central Athens.

Projects will involve market research for student recruitment, exploring the possibilities for a language exchange program with local students and social media: best practice, popular platforms, a working calendar for posts, how to involve students, etc.

The Athens Center will provide a furnished room with wifi and a working space with a desktop in the Center. Interns may take part in some of the embedded academic excursions as well as one of the Greek language classes.  This internship is unpaid but offers accommodation and several trips with expenses covered  as stated above.

Required characteristics:

  • Strong written and spoken English
  • Knowledge of social media
  • Candidates must be either students enrolled at an academic institution or recent graduates (1 year)
  • As part of the internship, successful candidates will receive rigorous training

Candidates should send a current Curriculum Vitae and letter of intent to Jan Sanders, PhD, Resident Director Athens and Regional Director for Mediterranean Programs at sandersj@arcadia.edu.
