We can’t wait to see you all in Melbourne this July. Melbourne is Australia’s Cultural Capital so we have some amazing co-curricular activities planned for you. Please take a look below to see just what is on offer. Make sure you sign up to the Arcadia Australia Melbourne Local facebook group for any extra events and updates.
The Welcome and Farewell dinners are a great opportunity to catch up with your Arcadia Australia Family. They will be arranged according to the groups class and travel schedules. In the past we have held both formal lunches, dinners and even breakfasts. We work together with the students in country to come up with ideas and dates that best suits their needs and wishes. Arcadia will pay for your meals and sign up will be through Facebook. There are often awards, gifts and celebrations given out on the night, so they are an event not to be missed.
Join us for a unique opportunity to experience the Victorian “wilderness”. On this two day excursion we will explore the Grampians which is well known for it’s wildlife including kangaroos, echidna’s and koalas, and for its wildflowers and sandstone mountains. We will start the weekend at the Brambuk cultural centre where you will learn about the traditional owners of the land and you will be given the opportunity to learn to throw a boomerang. During the weekend you will get to try your hand at rappelling; or abseiling as we call it here in Australia. This is a weekend not to be missed and best of all it’s free.
Come and join the Arcadia staff as we cycle along the beautiful Yarra River and get to know some of the hidden gems of Melbourne. We will stop for lunch at a local Melbourne favourite, before exploring CERES a sustainable community environment park. Learn a little about permaculture, visit the organic grocery, or simply sip on a turmeric latte. CERES has something for everyone.
