Arcadia’s presence in Spain reflects the diverse cultural identities of the country through the work of our two Centers in Barcelona and Granada. Our approach in Spain involves our students being able to contextualize their academic work within the framework of Spanish life and people, local culture and history. To do this, we offer you a wide variety of strong academic programs with thoughtful non-classroom based learning opportunities, in culturally distinct regions:
- Barcelona - The Arcadia Barcelona Center is right in the bustling neighborhood of l´Eixample in downtown Barcelona, a city at the heart of Catalonia on the Mediterranean coast. It offers a wide variety of courses taught in English and Spanish.
- Granada – This southern city is home to the Arcadia Granada Center offering strong academic programs with a particular strength in Environmental Science courses and Spanish language and culture.
- Mallorca – This beautiful Balearic island in the Mediterranean Sea is one of Europe’s top tourist destinations where the world’s top hotel and resort companies host over 9 million tourists each year.
- Toledo – This remarkable medieval city is located in the heart of Spain, only a half-hour from Madrid. It’s the perfect setting for programs we offer through our partner institutions, especially for students with strong Spanish language skills.
