Scottish Heritage Management Internship Program Courses

This is an 8 week program including 4 weeks of internship placement at a heritage management site. Your first four weeks are dedicated to the core Heritage Management course and a Scottish Studies elective of your choosing, to prepare you for your internship placement. Your final four weeks you will be completely immersed in your internship course which includes your full-time, hands-on internship placement and your independent research project guided by an academic supervisor.

  • Make sure your credits transfer back for credit with your home school – this is your responsibility.
  • Please be flexible about courses – we can’t guarantee placement in specific courses.
  • Please review your course choices with your academic or study abroad advisor, and submit the online course registration form to The College of Global Studies at Arcadia University.

All students on the Scottish Summer Heritage Internship enroll in two core courses: SCOT INPR 310S Research Project and Internship and SCOT IDSP 330S Curating, Interpretation and Heritage: A Scottish Perspective.

Students then choose one elective from the Scottish Studies Summer program: SCOT GESC 210S Scotland's Geology, Landscapes and People or SCOT HSSC 215S Scottish History.
