Scottish Heritage Management Internship Program Courses

There are two components to this program. You will take four weeks of courses: one is an Arcadia University course in Heritage Management while the other is an elective to be selected from the Arcadia University Scottish Studies Program. Following the four weeks of courses, you will engage in a 4-week internship core course that includes your internship placement and an academic project. This program runs for eight weeks.

  • Make sure your credits transfer back for credit with your home school – this is your responsibility.
  • Please be flexible about courses – we can’t guarantee placement in specific courses.
  • Please review your course choices with your academic or study abroad advisor, and submit the online course registration form to The College of Global Studies at Arcadia University.

All students on the Scottish Summer Heritage Internship enroll in two core courses: SCOT INPR 310S Research Project and Internship and SCOT IDSP 330S Curating, Interpretation and Heritage: A Scottish Perspective.

Students then choose one elective from the Scottish Studies Summer program: SCOT GESC 210S Scotland's Geology, Landscapes and People or SCOT HSSC 215S Scottish History.
