How would you like to get involved working at the world’s largest arts festival with a team as enthusiastic about the arts as you? This exciting summer program combines an internship in an organization that is actively involved in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with academic study at the prestigious University of Edinburgh.

This is a real resume-building opportunity for humanities students: the coursework is designed to introduce business principles and how they relate to arts and arts management and the internship will give you unique experience in a professional capacity.

  • The four-week academic course will build a solid understanding of business principles in context, with options in Business Policy and Strategy; Marketing; Human Resource Management; Finance and Accounting; Operations Management; and Enterprise.

  • The four-week internship will help you see how festivals work from the ground up and develop your skills, knowledge and experience. You’ll have focused guidance on project definition and research methodologies. You’ll also write a report on your experience.

  • The Business School at University of Edinburgh is AACSB accredited.

  • Due to the introductory nature of the business coursework required, this program is not suitable for business majors or for those who have undertaken previous coursework in business.
