When selecting your courses from Limerick's website, you should be aware of some differences in terminology. In Ireland, the word for class or course is called a module.

  • To view the course catalog, open the appropriate Module Booklet from the left-hand side of the page. (If the booklet for your year of study is not available, please use the booklet for the relevant semester from the most recent year. Module offerings remain fairly consistent from year to year.) Modules are organized by department. Information about courses, including a brief course description, ECTS credit value, entry requirements and course duration is provided.
  • More specific information about the courses may be available in the University's online Book of Modules. This book includes courses not available to study abroad students. If using this course catalog, only view classes beginning with a 4. Classes that start with a 5 and 6 are postgraduate classes and not available to you. (For example, EN4023 is an undergraduate class.) This online catalog should always be used with the documents available on the University of Limerick study abroad website.

In addition to your proposed list of 5 courses, Limerick requires that you choose 5 alternate courses. Your first choice selections may not be available due to scheduling changes, time conflicts, prerequisites or cancellations. Please submit a total of 10 courses.

Enrollment Process

Official course registration will take place upon arrival at Limerick. The preliminary course form you submit to Arcadia prior to acceptance is not set in stone. You will have a two week drop/add period at the beginning of the semester where you can make changes to your course registration.

If your enrollment is conditional upon entry into a specific course or courses, it is very important that you indicate these requirements at the bottom of the preliminary course form on your Arcadia Passport.
