Flexible academics on one of the most stunning campuses in Britain

The University of Sussex has a strong reputation for innovation and inspiration in teaching and research; its academic strengths include science, math, media, politics, international relations, English, and business management. As a visiting student, you’ll be able to choose from a variety of course modules for your term or academic year abroad. The campus reflects a progressive, liberal, and international atmosphere, with staff and students from over 120 countries. If you want to experience the southern coast of England while studying at a highly respected university, this is a great program option.

  • If you are a media and communications major looking for study abroad options outside of London, this may be a great program choice, as Brighton is a fabulous place to inspire your creativity.

  • You’ll settle in easily through the Students’ Union, home to over 100 clubs and societies as well as planned entertainment throughout the year. As a visiting student, you’ll have full access to the recreation facilities (water sports are especially popular).

  • Situated on acres of parkland just a short train ride from the seaside bohemian towns of Brighton and Hove, the Sussex campus is surrounded by the breathtaking landscape and quaint villages of South Downs National Park. The university itself is a magnificent blend of architecture and green open spaces. You’ll experience the lively atmosphere of Brighton, with its eccentric shops, a diverse array of cafes, and a waterfront pier—and all this just an hour from London!

  • If you are a fall term student, you’ll have the option of an intensive 3-week pre-session program before the program starts. Courses may vary, but have included literature, history, global issues, politics, and archaeology.

  • Research options may be available.

The highlight of my time abroad with Arcadia was getting to experience so many more things then I would have at home. ”
