As a student on this program, you are guaranteed housing in three potential locations: UCL Halls of Residence, UCL Student Houses, or Arcadia housing.
UCL housing is a very popular option for both UK and visiting students, so once you've been accepted, complete your housing form and confirm your participation in the program as soon as possible.
Only full year students can be guaranteed UCL housing. The UCL accommodations office makes final housing assignments. When selecting UCL housing options, it is not possible to request a particular residence; you'll simply choose between catered or self-catered.
Arcadia cannot guarantee that single-semester students will be housed in UCL accommodation. Students who are not assigned to UCL housing will be assigned Arcadia housing.
You'll live among degree students at UCL in a single room with shared bathrooms, and be 5-20 minutes from the UCL campus depending. If you have a special diet (including vegetarian) this may not be a good option.
If placed in a catered UCL Hall of Residence, there will be a required meal plan. A supplemental cost will be charged, which is not included in your housing fee.
You'll live in a self-catered single room with shared bathrooms, and be 5-30 minutes from the UCL campus depending on your placement. Some of the houses are large and purpose built, while others are converted private houses. Kitchen facilities are provided for you to prepare your own meals. Lunch and dinner are available in college on a pay-as-you-go basis every weekday during term.
You'll be placed in Arcadia student housing with other students on Arcadia programs in London. Rooms may be singles, doubles, or triples, and will have shared bathrooms. Arcadia accommodation is self-catered and kitchen facilities will be available for you to use to prepare meals. Arcadia housing is located 5-30 minutes from the main UCL campus area.
