Located in London, the Royal Veterinary College, University of London is near Camden Town and St. Pancras station and is also close to Bloomsbury. The Royal Veterinary College is an independent veterinary college with a strong tradition of heritage and innovation. Founded in 1791, RVC became a full part of the University of London in 1949. Here you will find individuals with an uncanny commitment to academic excellence and a passion for the health and welfare of animals and humans.

As a support to the veterinary and medical professions and a tangible outcome to the College's vision to improve animal health and promote public health, RVC has three animal hospitals treating over 20,000 patients each year. The Queen Mother Hospital is Europe's largest referral hospital for small animals.

If you are studying abroad for a semester or a year, you'll also be welcome to use the system-wide University of London Student Central. In addition to bars, restaurants and an entertainment venue that attracts major bands and comedy acts, you'll find the union equipped with shops, a fitness center and weights room, health spa, squash and badminton courts, and swimming pool. Student Central provides additional opportunities to meet and socialize with students from the many colleges and institutes that make up the University of London system.

RVC features two campuses:

  • Camden Campus:  Camden is the main campus of RVC that is within easy walking distance of King’s Cross, St. Pancras International and Euston train stations. It houses state-of-the-art facilities that includes an award-winning social learning space, a Learning Resources Centre, and an Anatomy museum and dissection room.
  • Hawkshead Campus:  The Hawkshead campus, the location for many large animal research activities, is located in Hertfordshire which is a short 15 minute train journey from London King’s Cross Station. This campus has state-of-the-art facilities that includes the Centre for Emerging and Endemic Diseases, a Structure & Motion Laboratory, Pathology facilities, and a Equine Hospital.
