A classic rural English setting, just outside the city

Royal Holloway, University of London’s distinguished academic programs are showcased by a stunning campus often ranked as among the most beautiful in the world. Its music and drama departments are considered to be some of the best in the UK; other strong course offerings are in classics, English literature, history, film and physics. Royal Holloway’s historic relationship with the royal family may be due in part to its proximity to Windsor Castle, just a short distance away from its 135-acre campus of gorgeous parkland. The college’s rigorous academics are best suited to upper-level students with a particular academic focus—if this describes you, this may be a good program option.

The highlight of my experience is hands down the people I've met. I'm very lucky that I can say I have really good friends in England when I move back to the States. ”

Suffolk University Student, Royal Holloway

  • Learn from highly-regarded faculty (including an assigned departmental advisor) with world-leading research in the biological sciences, earth sciences, economics, geography, and psychology.

  • You’ll make plenty of friends through the Students Union, which sponsors more than 130 clubs and societies and entertainment all year. Royal Holloway has a very active sports community and has built a reputation as being the most sporting of the University of London colleges—there are many exercise and recreational facilities on-campus. You are also welcome to use the Student Central facilities in central London.

  • Based in idyllic Surrey, you’ll get the best of both worlds; the town of Egham is just 40 minutes from London by train. Egham is in the borough of Runnymede, made famous by the signing of the Magna Carta in 1215.
