A city as old as London inevitably has its traditions, but what we now consider a tradition, was once an innovation and London continues to innovate. We explore both historic innovations, now traditions, and look at the traditions of the next generation.
For all the homogenization of the high street there are still diverse different groups in every environment, city, country, region. Why do tribes and gather, what distinguishes them from each other and what commonality do they share? As modern rational human beings living in a democracy, what makes us still gather into tribes?

We don’t like to talk about it but death is all around. Memorials, monuments, historical buildings, war epitaphs, cemeteries, the cenotaph. Amongst the teeming life of a big city, are constant reminders of those who lived here before. We examine how life has changed, what impact our predecessors had on our lives today and how beliefs and attitudes have developed.
