London College of Fashion Courses

London College of Fashion (LCF) offers courses suitable for fashion majors as well as non-majors with an interest in fashion studies.

  • Please review your courses with your academic or study abroad advisor to ensure they will transfer back to your home school and that you are following your home school’s policies.
  • Please be flexible – we can’t guarantee specific courses. If your participation in the program depends on a particular course, be sure to make a note on your online course form.

Special Considerations

  • GPA for Consideration: 2.8
  • Fall students will arrive several days earlier than the standard Arcadia in London or London Internship Program arrival dates.
  • LCF has an extensive orientation prior to Arcadia’s in the fall.
  • All students must attend both LCF’s and Arcadia’s orientations.
  • Please see the Program Dates page for more information.

Choosing Your Courses

As this is part of a hybrid program, you cannot take all of your courses at LCF, some must be taken at the Arcadia London Center. You will take up to 8 credits at LCF and a minimum of 2 Arcadia courses.

Up to 8 credits at LCF are included in the Band II tuition fee. Arcadia in London students may elect to take up to 10 credits for an additional fee.

London Internship Program students can take no more than 8 credits.

When completing your course selection form:

  • Review all course information for the programs carefully.
  • You are required to enroll in at least 2 Arcadia in London courses.
  • Secure approval for at least 8 elective courses.
  • Please list courses in order of preference.

London College of Fashion Courses

LCF breaks its options down into four different groups. While Arcadia students are not required to take Cornerstone courses, we would strongly encourage you to do so. All non-Arcadia students attending LCF must take these, and past students have advised that it’s easier to meet and integrate with other students this way.

Students are able to mix and match between the cornerstone courses and 3 options.

Enrollment Process

Arcadia will submit your courses to the London College of Fashion when we have your official transcript, letter of recommendation and preliminary course form. The preliminary course form you submit to Arcadia prior to acceptance is not set in stone.

The London College of Fashion will share with us your provisional course allocations, all which are subject to change upon arrival, as their timetables are not shared in advance.

You will have a drop/add period at the beginning of the semester where you can make changes to your course registration.

If your enrollment is conditional upon entry into a specific course or courses, it is very important that you indicate these requirements at the bottom of the preliminary course form on your Arcadia Passport.

Miscellaneous

All courses taken here are hands-on and rigorous. Past participants of the London Internship Program have advised that students shouldn’t take more than 2 LCF courses, as it is very demanding.

Students who opt to take more than 8 credits at the London College of Fashion will be charged a supplemental fee per additional credit taken.

Please review the syllabi carefully, as many outline materials that you will need to provide in order to take the course (e.g. digital camera, card reader, flash drive, portable sketching materials, etc.)
