As a participant on the Sydney Internship program, you will live in a student apartment. All accommodation is self-catered; you will have access to kitchen facilities to prepare your own meals. As you read the information below, please be sure to review the general accommodation information for Australia.
Located adjacent to campus in a friendly, secure community setting, Sydney University Village (SUV) provides self-catered accommodation in either studio apartments or a private bedroom in a five bedroom shared (multi-share) apartment. Residents in the shared apartments have an internal kitchen and residents in the studio units have access to a shared kitchen facility on site, so all residents can prepare their own meals. The SUV Residential Life Program offers you plenty of social and support opportunities. Other amenities include a newly refurbished recreation and games room, a café, a convenience store and a resource center with computer, printing and scanning facilities.
Accommodation is also provided in fully furnished apartments. Within walking distance to the city, shopping areas, and the University of Sydney, these residences typically suit the independent student. You will share a bedroom and apartment living space with other international students. Single rooms may be available if requested. Bathroom facilities are shared and you will prepare your own meals in communal kitchens. You will be responsible for your own cooking, cleaning and laundry, as there is no accommodation staff living on-site. The residences include unlimited internet, bed linens, laundry facilities and the kitchen comes fully equipped.
