Mercè Civera was born and raised in Barcelona. She studied English Philology in Universitat de Barcelona. She has a M.A. in Natural and Cultural Heritage Tourism Management from CETT-UB University and a M.A. in Tourism Management and Innovation of the Culinary and Gastronomic Heritage from the University of Barcelona. With over 25 years’ experience in teaching English for Tourism purposes at several University schools in Barcelona, she also teaches Tourism and Gastronomy in the Degrees of Tourism and Culinary Science. She is a researcher on the field of food and culinary heritage.
