Aubrey Tranter joined Arcadia and the Institutional Relations team in October 2012 as the Program Representative for the Midwest Region. She is responsible for representing Arcadia’s more than 130 programs in 15 countries and working directly with sending institutions to recruit students. She is based just outside of Detroit, MI and visits with colleges and universities within the region.
With a background in student services/study abroad, Aubrey entered the field as a graduate assistant for the Study Abroad & Fellowships Office at her Alma Mater. She quickly worked her way to program coordinator; assisting in the implementation of the first Pre-Orientation Program with a focus on study abroad sponsored by her office and the creation of the “Tigers Abroad” study abroad photo competition. Since then she worked briefly in online education and is excited to be back in the field.
Aubrey has lived around the world and spent much of her life in Spangdahlem, Germany. She has a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Hospitality and Service Management and a Master of Science in Professional Studies with concentrations in international business and tourism policy from the Rochester Institute of Technology. She studied abroad as an undergraduate in Dubrovnik, Croatia and then in Dubai, UAE for graduate work and the evaluation of RIT’s program prior to sending the first study abroad engineering students. Aubrey’s commitment and passion for international education is clear in her interactions with students and growing involvement in the field.
