Hi! My name is Fiona, I am an incoming junior at Santa Clara University, and I am studying to become a mechanical engineer. I grew up in Boulder Colorado, which has given me a great appreciation for the outdoors. When I am not studying in the library or experimenting in various engineering labs, you can find me playing ultimate frisbee for the Santa Clara women's club team. If I wasn't set on becoming an engineer, my ideal profession would involve skiing or hiking all day, taking photos for National Geographic, and experimenting with unique foods and recipes in my kitchen. Despite the fact that I will probably never achieve my dream profession, I hope to come as close to it as possible while I am abroad in New Zealand! I am particularly excited to explore New Zealand's natural beauty on foot and document my adventures with as many photos as possible. As far as National Geographic goes, I don't think my dinky phone camera will be sufficient, but I do plan to cook and eat my way through as many new foods as possible!
