About

Aloha! My name is Airi Spenser and I am a third-year student at Occidental College in Los Angeles California, where I major in Biology; and one day hope to become an OB/GYN. In my free time I love tie-dying, hiking, stand-up paddle boarding, volunteering at hospitals, and of course eating… My world pretty much revolves around food—taking pictures of food, making food, etc.— as you’ll soon see! I am looking forward to taking advantage of the many opportunities New Zealand has to offer, and cannot wait to tell you all about the wonderful places and people I find. Fasten your seat belts everyone, for we are in for a fabulous ride!

Arcadia Orientation: Day 2 and 3

Airi S. March 2, 2014

On the second and third days of our orientation, we stayed in Rotorua. It’s known for its geothermal activity and its eggy smell. The sulfur from the springs is ridiculously strong, but the views are absolutely worth it! On Day 2, we started off by going… More

Arcadia Orientation: Day 1

Airi S. February 23, 2014

After a gruesome 13-hour flight, I finally arrived in Auckland, New Zealand on the 13th of February. The adventure had finally begun. We immediately went to our hotel for the night, checked in, and began introductions. All of us were tired but excited… More
